Fatemeh Sarayloo

Dr. Fatemeh Sarayloo is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Decision Science at the College of Business Administration, University of Illinois Chicago. She also serves as the Director of Graduate Studies (MS-Business Analytics) and the Director of the Center for Applied Analytics. Prior to joining UIC, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. She obtained her PhD in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Montreal and CIRRELT.

Dr. Sarayloo’s research interests include areas in Combinatorial Optimization, Stochastic Programming and Statistical learning applied in a wide range of applications including Logistics, Operations Management, and Network Design. Her research works have been published in INFORMS Journal on Computing and Journal of Heuristics. Her teaching experience at Purdue University includes the following courses: Discrete Optimization Models and Algorithms (IE537), Advanced Facilities Design (IE482), Computing in Industrial Engineering (R, SQL) (IE332), and Probability and Statistics in Engineering (IE230).
